McKinney Chapel Committee offers an ecumenical service on the 4th Sunday of the month at 9 am. Our services are enhanced with preaching from local visiting ministers from various denominations. Afterward we enjoy refreshments under the pavilion from May to October and at the Clubhouse during the colder months. There are also occasional services at major holidays. Please click on “Schedule” at the top of the page for more information.
The chapel is nestled on Cleo Chapman Road near the Wellness Center within the Cliffs Keowee Vineyards community in Sunset, SC. The chapel is affiliated with Grace United Methodist Church (Pickens, SC) and they have granted us permission to us it for our monthly ecumenical services. Finally, come and hear our inspirational choir directed by Kirby Colson.

Charitable giving at McKinney Chapel. In November members of the community are asked to submit names of local charities they feel deserve monetary help to the allocations committee from the McKinney Chapel Committee. When charities are submitted the member is asked to briefly state what type of work the charity does and if they are a 501(c)(3). The allocations committee meets, reviews the charities that have been suggested and makes a donation to the charity if approved. Our rule of thumb is to give 90% of our money to local charities and 10% to others. Some of the charities we have given to in the past are Helping Hands, Mary's House (a domestic abuse shelter), Meals on Wheels, CRO and local food banks.
